Shannon-May has been photographing weddings throughout New Brunswick and across Canada since 2011. She's had the privilege of documenting nearly 200 weddings and elopements for the most remarkable couples.
Your wedding day will be one of the most personal days of your life and your photographer will be privy to almost every minute of it. This is why I choose to put as much energy into providing you with a great experience as I do in creating honest, simple, and candid images that you will love and that feels like you.
I have photographed more than 160 weddings (plus just as many engagement sessions) - that's 160 couples, in love, who have chosen me to photograph their wedding! With each couple, I give myself as a guide throughout the photo and wedding planning process so that everyone's experience in front of my camera is comfortable and fun. This ensures that every one of my couples will have candid and authentic images they will love.
I would love to give this all to you!
Love & Sunshine,
WHAT TO EXPECT
a wee bit about my work and the experience I strive to offer each couple I work with.
My strength as a wedding photographer is being able to recognize moments before they happen and to document them simply, honestly and candidly. I like to keep things simple - both in my gear and in my direction so that I can focus on what I do best.
YOU DEFINITELY CAPTURED THE LOVE
We are in tears looking over our photos, we absolutely LOVE them! We are just in awe of them. You captured everything so beautifully and omg, the colours! You captured such emotion. I can’t wait to share these pictures with our families. You definitely captured the love between us all. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

SMP Wedding Collections have been designed to provide a comprehensive photography experience.
Included with each collection is Full Day-of wedding day photography, an engagement session, high-resolution digital images with full printing rights, and a high-quality printed album.
My most popular collection is $4499.
All weddings, big or small deserve to be documented with the utmost care, intention, and love.
Over the past ten years, I've had the privilege of working with couples who have chosen to elope. I have stood in as a witness, wedding planner, and BFF, and wore those roles proudly while also documenting it all.
If you're planning to elope I'd love to chat with you.
Do you travel for weddings?
Yes, absolutely! I travel throughout Atlantic Cnada every yeara to photograph weddings. And I will travel anywhere throughout Canada, especially to Vancouver BC, where my family lives. Inquire for options. Some travel fees will apply for weddings taking place more than 50 kms beyond St. Andrews.
How far in advance should we book you?
I book weddings anywhere from 4 to 18 months in advance, however, I have booked a wedding with less than 2 months' notice. It is always best to inquire as you never know! If you have your date set and your venue booked then let's get your photography booked!
Do you work with a second shooter?
Yes! You can select a collection that includes a second photographer or add one to your collection if needed. I strongly recommend a second shooter for weddings with a guest list exceeding 100.
How do we book you?
Oh my goodness, yes! Let's do this. I will require a signed contract and a $1000 retainer fee to secure your day. Use the contact form to get the booking process started.
How much should we expect to pay for your photography services?
Depending on the collection you choose and the additions to make to customize your collection, you can expect to pay between $4000 and $7000 for your wedding photography. This does not include applicable taxes and travel if any.
Our wedding is a bit different. Do you have custom options?
Our collections are pretty much applicable to any wedding day but there are definitely some exceptions and we'd love to create something special for you. Use the contact form to fill me in on all the details of what you're planning.
How many images can we expect to receive in our wedding day gallery?
This ultimately depends on how much time I spend with you but typical galleries include 600-800 high-resolution images that have been edited in-keeping with my style.
What precautions do you take to make sure our photos are backed up?
During a wedding day, I shoot with multiple memory cards at once! Once back to my office I back up your photos to multiple HD's, which are automatically backed-up in the cloud!
How much experience do you have?
I have been photographing weddings since 2011. More than 160 couples have trusted me to be photograph their weddings and engagement photos!
Are you insured?
Yes! I am insured for liability and equipment losses.
The very best way to enjoy and preserve your wedding photographs is with an album that will stand the test of time. Digital files are great but technology is constantly changing and becoming obsolete. An album is made to last.
An album is a thoughtful narrative of your entire wedding day presented in a very tangible way. It is something to hold in your hands while you sit on the couch with your family and friends and retell the events of your wedding day.
No wedding photography experience is complete without one, which is why I include one with every collection.
