Minister’s Island, St. Andrews By-The-Sea Family Portraits
Emily and Jared’s little man is huge part of their love story so it was the perfect plan to being him along for some family portrait time when we met last month for their engagement session. I loved seeing how they interact how as a family – this little guy has both his parents wrapped around his little fingers, and is the absolute delight of his grandparents, who were on hand to help wrangle him, blow bubbles and then entertained him while I went off with Emily and Jared for their remainder of their engagement photos.
I love that Emily and Jared came prepared with bubbles, a balloon and lots of patience for their family portraits. My favourite portrait sessions are LIFESTYLE sessions, where there are no specific expectations for the traditional “everyone looking perfect and smiling at the camera” portraits. Instead I love capturing families at play, let the children and their mood, energy level and need to play dictate the kind of photos we capture. My dream is to photograph families in their home where kids are most comfortable, and I would love to photograph a family building and eating ice cream sundaes or decorating cupcakes, or even enjoying an afternoon at the Aquarium. The point is, I love doing things a little different!
I cannot wait to have this adorable family in front of my camera again when Emily and Jared are married in September. Emily and Jared, thank you again for choosing me as your wedding (and family) photographer.
Love & Sunshine,
