custom packages
The following venues offer wedding packages that are made to order to suit each couple uniquely who would like to elope in St. Andrews and have a big part in planning out all the details.
Kingsbrae Garden is a world-class public garden. It is a perfect setting for an elopement or intimate wedding. Kingsbrae Garden has multiple gardens that can be used for a ceremony and the team there can offer many different dining experiences as well (from very casual to very formal). Email Chelsea at the garden – she would love to put something together that will be perfect for what each couple is looking for.
Ministers Island is a hidden gem in St. Andrews and has the most magical story to accompany its beautiful landscape and architecture. You have to drive across the ocean floor when the tide is out to access the island. The possibilities for a ceremony location on the island are endless, however, couples often book the bathhouse to ensure they have an indoor space for their ceremony in the event of unfavourable weather. And new this year is their food service! Imagine driving across the ocean floor to say “I do” while overlooking the ocean, followed by portraits in a field, a first, and on the beach before enjoying a unique picnic prepared by their on-site chef! Email Niel to get planning!
Tara Manor Inn is another historic venue in St. Andrews and they have the most beautiful trees tucked away that would make the perfect setting for an elopement or micro wedding ceremony. They also have a balcony with views of the water and town (on clear days) that would make an equally lovely spot for a couple to say “I do.” Follow this up with an intimate dinner in their restaurant and you have a lovely low-key elopement.
Garden Gate Bed & Breakfast is located on the historic plateau of St. Andrews and has the loveliest courtyard garden that would make an ideal setting for a private ceremony and can accommodate you and up to nine of your guests. Imagine having the whole place to yourselves for a weekend staycation in New Brunswick and hosting your wedding ceremony here! Stephen will be your host and you can email him here to find out more information.
The Cottage Chic Annex is a private rental in the heart of downtown St. Andrews with private beach access!! This would be an idyllic location for couples wanting a “backyard elopement” but on the beach and in a sweet resort town! You can stay here, your guests can stay in the loft (a second rental space in the same building), you can host your ceremony outside overlooking the water, or right on the beach… and then walk to a local restaurant to celebrate (and then stumble home after many drinks) or you can order in and have a private meal. The possibilities are endless. Use the links above to book through Airbnb or to connect with the host.

a magical outdoor ceremony
If it’s just the two of you and/or a couple of witnesses present for your elopement in St. Andrews, you can always plan your ceremony to take place literally anywhere. The beaches, trails, and other public spaces that make St. Andrews so beautiful would make incredible backdrops for elopements. However, I do always recommend having an indoor option in case of unfavorable weather and any of the above options would lend to that.

last words
A couple other ideas I thought I would suggest making your elopement in St. Andrews an excellent experience.
Consider a Jeep Tour of St. Andrews on the way to your ceremony or after your photos are all done! http://www.turtleshoreadventures.com/ My husband and I are planning to take this tour this summer as a fun way to experience our town.
Book a whale-watching excursion! Seriously one of my favourite things to do every summer. There are quite a few operators in St. Andrews but my personal favourite is with Quoddy Link Marine.
