Take Better Pictures

A photography workshop for beginners

One of the most common questions I get asked by people when they learn that I am a photographer is "how do I take better pictures?" I don't think I have all the answers, but I do LOVE teaching others about what I've learned!

TAKE BETTER PICTURES is a workshop designed to inspire and equip the photography-enthusiast or anyone wishing to take better picture, and to provide you with an opportunity to ask questions while you learn alongside like-minded others. Whether you want to take better pictures of your kids, of the local culture while on vacation, or whatever beauty captures your eye, you will leave ready to pick up your camera and look through the lens in a whole new way.

This candid conversation will be led by myself, Shannon-May, and infused with my love and passion for my craft.

Topics covered will include:

*My photography story.

*Why photographs matter.

*Understanding Manual Mode - The Basics.

*The importance of light.

*Composition 101.

*Anticipating the moment and pre-visualizing the shot.

*Why you should print your photos.

*Q&A - I'm an open book.

What to bring: Your camera or phone (whatever medium you use to take photos). Light snacks and writing materials will be provided, along with a few other goodies.

Due to the nature of this workshop (and coziness of my living room) space will be limited to ten (10) participants. This workshop is not intended for professional photographers or anyone currently charging money for photography services.
